Calling All Elected Officials & Political Candidates: Politically Correct Watermelon Eating Contest

The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce this year’s Politically Correct Watermelon Eating Contest at the 47th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival sponsored by UAHT.  All elected officials and those seeking office are invited to participate in the Politically Correct Watermelon Eating Contest held Saturday, August 12th, 2023 on the Cricket Wireless Stage at the Hope Fair Park at 11:00am.  Who will bring home the biggest trophy of the festival this year?

Chamber Executive Christy Burns also invites everyone to stick around for the Watermelon Eating Contest for all ages at 12:00pm and Seed Spitting Contest at 1:30pm.  Trophies will be given for top places in each age division.
