Join us on Friday May 27, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a half-day workshop to learn about pond management at the Southwest Research & Extension Center in Hope. Participants will hear presentations on aquatic weed identification and management from George Selden, Aquaculture Extension Specialist at UAPB, fish stocking and management from Scott Jones, Small Impoundment Extension Specialist at UAPB, as well as the impact of ponds on cattle health from Daniel Rivera, Associate Professor of Animal Science and Director of the Southwest Research & Extension Center.
Additionally, Jones will demonstrate electrofishing on site to assess fish species in the station’s main pond.
There is no cost to attend this event, and a catfish dinner will be provided.
