According to PowerOutage.us, about 1,525 customers are out of power in Hempstead County as of the most recent update at 6:34 p.m., while 71 are out of power in Nevada County as of 6:35 p.m due to Winter Storm Cora, which rolled in Thursday afternoon and continued to drop snow and freezing rain into Friday.

The customers out of power in Hempstead County are with SWEPCO and the customers out of power in Nevada County are with Entergy, the website says. 

The county in Southwest Arkansas with the most outages reported is Miller County with 7,838, representing 32.5 percent of households.  Most of those outages are from SWEPCO.  In all 14,212 are out of power in the state, with all but one of the counties reporting outages being located in Southwest Arkansas. 

PowerOutage.us says it “collects, records, and aggregates live power outage data from utilities all over the United States, with the goal to create the single most reliable and complete source of power outage information available.” It claims to track 152,164,654 customers.
