Prescott Baseball Starts Season off with 12-2 Win over Gurdon

Prescott- The Curley Wolves started off their baseball season on the right track, winning the season opener against Gurdon 12-2. Sparked by a big 7-run second inning, in which 5 different Curley Wolves knocked in runs in the inning. Prescott added 3 more runs in the bottom of the third to make the score 12-0 after 3 innings. Great pitching performances from the Curley Wolves as well, starting with Pierce Yates who scattered just one hit and struck out 7 batters in 3 innings of shutout baseball.  Carston Poole had a clean 1-2-3 inning in the 4th while recording 2 strike outs and Avery Hubbard pitched the final inning of the game to complete the win for the Curley Wolves. Branen Bradley had 2 hits and 2 RBIs and Spencer Hubbard added 2 hits for the Curley Wolves. Avery Hubbard added 3 RBIs, while Talen Smith and Pierce Yates added a hit each. The Curley Wolves will be back in action Friday in Prescott at 3:00 as they play Linden Kildare.
