The Prescott Boys Golf Team traveled to Glenwood yesterday to compete in the 5AAA District Tournament at the Glenwood Country Club. For Jace Cummings (freshman), Rhett Bullinger (freshman), and Pate Willis (sophomore), it was a day of many firsts as this young team competed in their first ever district tourney. These boys didn't hold back, though, and seized a win for the Curley Wolves as Cummings qualified as an individual to compete at the state level. Coach Mike Godwin was proud of the team's performance and looks forward to what the future brings. He said, "Our boys are young and it was their first time ever to compete in a district golf tournament. I'm very pleased with the way they competed. I believe they gained valuable experience that will help them next year and down the road, and Jace qualified to go to the State Tournament."
Cummings will represent the Curley Wolves and travel to Cave Springs on October 5th to compete in the 5AAA State Golf Tournament.
