Prescott Boys Win 49th Annual Prescott Merchant Relays

Prescott- The Curley Wolves Track Team kept rolling Thursday night in the 49th Annual Prescott Merchant Relays. The boys team tallied up 152 points, outscoring the 2nd place team by 73 points. They had a great showing in the field events, as Rocco Patrick dominated the discus and shot put. In fact, he broke the meet record set by Malik Beasley of DeQueen in 2019 with a throw of 163-4. Jakeylon Jones won the Long Jump.  There was no shortage of points for Jaylen Johnson, as he won the 100m, 200m, and 400m in impressive fashion. Tiquan Box won the 110 hurdles, besting his teammate Jakeylon Jones by .23 seconds in an impressive showing from both athletes and the Sprint Relay was also won by the Curley Wolves.

High Jump- Jakeylon Jones 8th place

Pole Vault- Justin Sheets 5th place

Long Jump- Jakeylon Jones won 1st place, Armani Tidwell 2nd place, Tiquan Box 5th place

Triple Jump- Armani Tidwell 3rd place, Travion Dickens 7th, Richard Benton 8th, Jakeylon Jones 9th

Discus Throw- Rocco Patrick won 1st place with a 163-4 (Meet Record) , Colton Arnold 8th and Gavan York 9th

Shot Put- Rocco Patrick won 1st place

4x800 Relay Prescott finished 3rd place

4X100 Relay Prescott Won 1st

4X200 Relay Prescott finished 2nd

4X400 Relay Prescott finished 2nd

110 Hurdles- Tiquan Box won 1st place, Jakeylon Jones 2nd place, Cliff Davis 7th place

300 Hurdles- Jakeylon Jones finished in 2nd place, Tiquan Box 3rd place, Travion Dickens 4th place, Cliff Davis 9th

800M Run- Jayquan Dickerson 2nd place

3200M Run- John Rabadan 9th place

100M- Jaylen Johnson won 1st place, PJ Gulley 3rd place, Tiquan Box 4th place, Jah’Noah Harris 8th, Branen Bradley 10th

200M- Jaylen Johnson won 1st place, Armani Tidwell 7th place

400M- Jaylen Johnson won 1st place, Richard Benton 6th place, Pierce Yates 10th place

Great showing by the Curley Wolves Track Team and great job by the coaching staff for the preparation. They will be competing next week in Genoa next Thursday.
