Prescott- As Armani Tidwell crossed the finish line on the Mile Relay for Prescott it was official, another year, another State Championship for the Prescott Boys Track Team. Coach Glass and the many other coaches involved have a great thing going in Prescott as they won their 6th consecutive State Championship in Track & Field. The Curley Wolves literally ran away from the competition, racking up 135 points and scoring more than double the points than the 2nd place team from Bald Knob scored. Rocco Patrick set 2 state records in Shot Put and Discus, Coach Glass marvels at his work ethic. Jakeylon Jones had himself a day as well as he finished 1st in the 110M Hurdles, 1st in the 300M Hurdles, 2nd in Long Jump, and 3rd in Triple Jump, earning himself high point man at the entire track meet. Jakeylon Jones was also on the 4x400 Relay which placed 3rd. Tiquan Box placed 3rd in the 110M Hurdles. Prescott had 2 Freshman athletes showed out for the Curley Wolves as G’Mar Britton Won the 3200M and Wesley Rash place 3rd in the Pole Vault. Jaylen Johnson placed 2nd in the 200M, 2nd place in the 400M, and he also was anchor leg of the State winning 4x100 Relay. The Sprint Relay squad from Prescott made up of JahNoah Harris, Branen Bradley, Travion Dickens, and Jaylen Johnson won the 4x100. The 4x800 Relay placed 2nd, team included Justin Culp, Jose Ortiz, Lavonte Gleason, Jayquan Dickerson. All in all, a great performance from Prescott as they competed very well in every event.
