The Prescott City Council met this evening for the November meeting. After the prayer and pledge, the council voted and approved last month’s minutes, as well as the October financial statement.

While presenting her monthly service report, Chamber Director Jamie Hillery informed the council about recent ribbon cuttings and community coffees, as well as upcoming Christmas events. Hillery also updated the council about the latest successes with The Giving Tree, a community activity in which citizens provide essentials for area children who are in need. She said members of the community have given twenty-four local children shoes, pants, shirts, coats, and other necessities.

In other news, Mayor Oliver announced the city Christmas Party will be held December 10th at noon at the Fairgrounds. Also, City Recorder Robert Loe announced the fire department has a full crew now that Thomas Hubbard has filled the vacant position which was held by his late father, Bill Hubbard.

During the Citizen's Communications portion of the meeting, citizen Colby Tillmon addressed the council and shared his views about his past employment with the Prescott Police Department, as well as thoughts about moving forward. While Tillmon was addressing the council, he mentioned having a recording of a city employee breaking personnel policy rules and the council asked to see it to determine if action should be taken. Tillmon agreed to give the council a copy and a motion was made to enter executive session to review the video and discuss the personnel issue. After the executive session ended, no action was taken and the meeting was then adjourned.
