The Prescott City Council met last night for the July meeting, and with no new items on the agenda, committee reports were the focus of the night. The full meeting can be seen above, but here are the highlights of the night.
During EDO Director Mary Godwin's report, members passed Resolution 13 to allow for the application of a matching Parks grant. These funds would go toward improvements at the city's parks for possible items like fencing, netting for shade at the playground, security cameras, basketball goals, and more.
At the close of the meeting, Mayor Terry Oliver announced that Parks Director Steve Crow was retiring after 23 years with the city. Council members gave Crow a round of applause to wish him well and in appreciation for his years of service.
The next Prescott City Council meeting will be held Monday, August 15th.
