Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce Coffee held to promote hosting international students
Tuesday morning's Prescott-Nevada County Coffee was held in the Nevada County Library's conference room. The well-attended event featured information from Arnetta Bradford, owner of Hopes Hebrews 11:1 and also local coordinator of the International Student Exchange .

Bradford spoke of her experiences over the past 12 years helping place students from such places as Japan, France, Spain, Belgium, Japan and Israel into households in the area. Many went to Spring Hill and Hope schools. She said the students brought great value to the schools and to the families with whom they stayed, including knowledge of different ways to prepare meals, help learning their respective languages and engagement with diverse cultures.

Having hosted 12 students herself, Bradford said she found the Spring Hill School District to be especially enthusiastic about welcoming international students.

Bradford said she still needs homes for four students whose profiles were available to peruse just in front of the food platters. A smorgasbord of fruit, vegetables, deli meats and cheeses was served as well as a choice of several kinds of sandwiches and cold beverages.

Those interested in hosting a student for the 2024 semester or 2024-25 school year can contact Bradford at 1-870-826-3465
