Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce leadership stands behind the numerous delights offered at this morning's coffee, which took place in the Nevada County Library's conference room.

Held this morning in the Nevada County Library’s conference room, the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce’s coffee today boasted a tempting array of sweets and savories, from chocolate cookies and brownies to sausage stars and tuna-salad croissants.

The food selection was especially impressive, with items for every taste. If you felt like the hour better suited itself to breakfast foods, you were in luck. If you were in the mood for lunch already, you were covered.

“Hopefully this will trigger coffees that will keep us coming,” the Chamber’s Executive Director Jamie Hillery said. Already, at 9:30, more than a dozen people had already appeared, and as the minutes went by, many more arrived. This should indeed bode well for the future of coffees in Prescott.

Hillery and the Chamber are at present working to prepare for the Fall Festival, to occur in Prescott on October 8 at the Nevada County Courthouse. This past Monday she told the Prescott City Council that registrations for some events are at a low number and could cause cancellations. These events include the 5K Run/Walk, the Basketball Shoot-out, the Bunco Tournament, the Waterball Tournament and the Fall Festival Pageant. To register for these or set up a vendor booth at the Festival, contact the Chamber at 1-870-887-2101.

Available in another room nearby was literature from the Chamber, including its 2021-22 annual report, which lists the Chamber’s officers, board of directors and 46 individual and 110 business members along with activities sponsored, organized and assisted by the Chamber, award winners, new business openings and a pictorial for the recent Sesquicentennial commemoration event.
