The Summer Reading Program is your library’s way to prevent the summer slide by encouraging reading for fun over the summer!
This summer Prescott/Nevada County Library Summer Reading Program will look a little different due to COVID-19. Our in-person programming will have limited capacity per event, so signing up ahead of time at the library is a must to attend! Registration is required…NO EXCEPTIONS
Limited space is available. Social distancing and facemasks are highly encouraged…PERFOMERS ARE EXEMPT
KEEPING THE COMMUNITY SAFE
• Masks are required for ages 5 and up.
• We are practicing social distancing.
• Surfaces are cleaned regularly.
• Deep cleaning is done regularly.
**REGISTRATION will begin Tuesday June 29th…Registration will close once vacancies are filled.

Monday July, 19, 2021 - The Balloon Man will perform an amazing magical balloon show for families of all ages. The event will take place from 10am-11am inside the library. The BAlloon Man will perform magic and create balloon animals and other twisted sculptures. It will be a performance filled with joy, fun and lots of energy.
Tuesday, July, 20, 2021 - Noah's Ark Animal Workshop for families of all ages. It will be a fun filled activity where youngsters rotate through the two creation stations. At one, they hand stuff their animal to optimal snuggliness, at another, they make the animal a birth certificate so that 16 years later it can legally drive. In the end, they leave with a fuzzy new friend. The event will take place from 3-4pm.
Wednesday, July 28, 2021- Animalogy, Tales, Our Tails will Tell....A unique, hands on interactive program that features live exotic animals from all over the world while exploring the unique features about animals' tails including how they talk or communicate. Learn how to scare enemies away or make new friends, say what's on the menu, hide or show off or even talk to another species. Join Shawna and enjoy this one hour interactive show with live animals!
