Prescott Officer Spotlight of the Week - Wesley Wright

Lieutenant Wesley Wright started his law enforcement career in 2001 with the Mineral Springs Police Department working part-time. In 2003 Officer Wright also worked full-time as a dispatcher and jailer for the Howard County Sheriff’s Department. Officer Wright also went to work for the Dierks Police Department in 2005 working part-time for them when not working the other departments. In 2005 Wright became full-time with the Mineral Springs Police Department and went to the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. Wright left Mineral Springs PD in 2007 and moved to Murfreesboro where he went to work for the Murfreesboro Police Department. Wright left the Murfreesboro PD as a sergeant in 2011 and went to work for the University of Arkansas at Hope as a campus police officer in 2012. In 2017 the UAHT closed their campus police department and contracted out to private security. Wright then joined the Prescott Police Department in January of 2018 where he has been ever since. Wright holds several certifications and currently holds his senior certificate in law enforcement through the Commission of Law Enforcement Standards and Training. Wright enjoys interacting with the Prescott community and hopes to continue and serve the community for many years. Wright has been married for 16 years and has three boys and two dogs.
