The Prescott Police Department (PPD) held a fundraiser Saturday at headquarters to help a local family with medical expenses. The PPD held a hamburger and bake sale to raise funds for Matt and Rae Burdess. Chief Ann Jordan said the turnout was amazing and that people came from all over to support the family. PPD Administrative Assistant Tammie Rose said there was a great deal of community support which helped make the fundraiser happen. Items were donated from the local nursing homes, area businesses, and other individual citizens to assist with raising money for the family. Around $2650 was raised for the Burdess family.
