PHS Principal Tommy Poole presented an special Extra Yard for Teachers game ball to Mrs. Janet Banister and Mrs. Kendra Haynie.

Both of these high school teachers always go the extra yard to make sure that their students are successful. Both Mrs. Banister and Mrs. Haynie are willing to help students in need. They were recognized for being outstanding teachers who go the Extra Yard and have the results to prove it.

This event was sponsored by the College Football Playoff Foundation that is a community engagement organization that works to support educators, recruit teachers and improve U.S. student outcomes. Their Extra Yard for Teachers program is being used to inspire and elevate those in the teaching profession and recognizing that teachers are the real champions and key to the success of the future of our country.
