Prescott Tops Parkers Chapel 6-3
Bearden- The Curley Wolves started off their baseball season on a great note as they beat the Parkers Chapel Trojans 6-3 to improve to 1-0 to start the year. The Trojans scored 2 runs in the first inning, but were then silenced the next few innings by Pierce Yates, as he racked up 8 strikeouts, before Spencer Hubbard came in to close the game out. The Prescott offense got things going in the second inning as they put up a crooked number to take the lead. The Wolves would then add 3 more runs in the third inning to take a 6-2 lead into the fourth. Parkers would add a run to bring the game to 6-3. Hubbard would shut the door on any hope the Trojans had for a comeback as he tossed a perfect inning with 1 strikeout.

Yates led the way at the plate for the Curley Wolves with 2 hits and 3 RBI. Talan Smith, Keegan Simmons, and Jaden Purtle would each have hits for Prescott. Smith would finish with 2 RBI and Dalton Stockton would draw a walk and have an RBI as well. The Wolves worked the count well on Monday night as they drew seven walks as a team. Prescott will be back on the diamond Tuesday night in Hope.
