Prescott has been dominant in conference play this season, outscoring opponents 182-35. “The guys are hyped up. We like playing football, we love it, and the bye-week has us hungry to get out there and play. The intensity is going to be really high for Senior Night," Senior Defensive End Jamarion Burton said Tuesday.
Horatio has a balanced offense, 55 percent passing plays, 45 percent running, so the Prescott defense should see a worthy challenge. “We need to get some three-and outs and get our offense in a rhythm and score early," Coach Brian Glass said Tuesday.
Prescott will look to separate themselves from Horatio early on in the game. Pierce Yates has been great all season long. Look for Yates to get his very talented receivers going early. Running back Jah’Noah Harris could be poised for a big game as well, as the O-Line looks to establish the running game Thursday.
Defensively, Prescott will try to continue its dominance on that side of the ball and try to pitch another shutout. The D-line has been getting after it all season. The linebacking group led by Talan Smith has been lights out all season, and the secondary, led by DeCari Prater has been very stingy.
Horatio is out of playoff contention and Prescott is locked in at the #1 seed. Look for Prescott to throw their weight around and take care of business on Thursday night. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.. Go Wolves!!
