Project Prevent

Students in Earlene Gulley’s first period class at Yerger Middle School have been collaborating for Project Prevent through action-oriented class activities addressing the use of tobacco and nicotine. The “Youth Led, Fact Fed” program seeks to present accurate information to students about tobacco and nicotine use and consequences. Participating students include Melani Balbuena, Alaya Carrigan, Shabreea Davis, Ayden Dennis, Anais Esparza, Tyrenda Hale, Jocelyn Hernandez, JaKhari Johnson, Melissa Martinez, Jared Salazar, and Za’nia Toney. Sponsors include Earlene Gulley and YMS School Nurse Marcia Widel, RN. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools
