Rainbow of Challenges hosts Chamber Community Coffee
The Rainbow of Challenges (ROC) welcomed a full house this morning as the organization hosted the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Community Coffee at the Chamber office in downtown Hope.

A large crowd was in attendance, including local residents, city officials, community leaders, political candidates, Chamber staff, and members of the ROC team.

ROC staff members proudly sported shirts featuring the organization’s new logo, creating a bright and unified presence throughout the room.

Guests enjoyed a wide variety of refreshments, including pinwheels, mini sausages, cinnamon rolls, sweet treats, fresh fruit and vegetables with dips, salsa and chips, punch, coffee, and water. As attendees mingled, the morning provided an opportunity for fellowship, networking, and learning more about the services ROC provides in the community.

Scott Jester, Public Relations representative for Rainbow of Challenges, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to host.

“It’s truly an honor to host a Community Coffee here in downtown Hope,” Jester said. “Rainbow of Challenges has participated in Community Coffees for as long as I can remember, and we’re excited to once again show our support for the town of Hope, its citizens, and most importantly, the individuals we serve.”

Jester highlighted the scope of ROC’s adult services, explaining that the organization operates workshops across Southwest Arkansas.

“Our adult services program supports individuals with a wide range of abilities,” he said. “We have workshops in Hope, Arkadelphia, and Prescott, and our clients stay busy. We don’t just play games all day,  we have meaningful work to do. Staying focused and engaged is important, and our clients are wonderful to work with. Our adults are truly the best.”

Rainbow of Challenges, which often does business as ROCOH, serves children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities throughout Hope and surrounding communities. The organization’s mission is “Discovering opportunities that inspire lives.. whatever it takes.” It is also described as a commitment “to guide, with compassion, people who have special needs to live satisfied and happy lives.”

Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Christy Burns, who was previously a part of the team at ROC, shared her personal appreciation for the organization.

“Rainbow of Challenges holds a special place in my heart,” Burns said. “Having worked there in the past, I’ve seen firsthand the compassion, dedication, and joy that fills that organization every single day. ROC doesn’t just provide services, they create opportunities, build confidence, and change lives. We are so grateful for the work they do in our community.”

The morning’s gathering reflected that shared gratitude, as community members came together to support an organization committed to inspiring lives whatever it takes.
