Hope, AR – Last week, ROC was presented with a grant award by Kim Hollis from BancorpSouth. Funds are targeted to provide support and assistance during COVID-19.
Recently, ROC received an invitation to apply for funding offered by BancorpSouth to elevate low income communities through emergency assistance, basic needs, shelter, and healthcare access.
Funding was approved to the organization in the amount of $1,500. Grant monies will be used to provide medical/first aid supplies, extra cleaning materials including hand sanitizer, and/or non-perishable food items. The items will expand safety measures already in place.
“ROC is responding to the COVID-19 crisis by preparing for the safety of our individuals in program areas and client homes. The goal is for them to be able to stay home and avoid community contact for as long as possible. Nothing means more than hometown support. We are grateful to BancorpSouth for assistance as we support individuals with
developmental and intellectual disabilities” says Jennifer Block, VP of Innovation and Development.
