FAYETTEVILLE -- In a late development on Monday, the final day prospects could sign with professional baseball teams, left-handed pitcher Julian Bosnic inked with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
It appeared Bosnic would join Arkansas after choosing them over others. Bosnic was at South Carolina, but intended to transfer to Arkansas. Bosnic was drafted by the Pirates in Round 14. Prospects had until 4 p.m. CT on Monday to sign.
With Bosnic not coming to Fayetteville the Arkansas starters will likely consist of some combination of Jaxon Wiggins, Hagen Smith, Will McEntire, Zack Morris and Brady Tygart.
Bosnic had battled injuries at South Carolina, but when healthy he is an outstanding pitcher either starting or out of the bullpen.
