Razorbacks Phil Steele Honored

FAYETTEVILLE - Six  Arkansas Razorbacks adorn the four Preseason All-SEC football team assembled by the Phil Steele Football 2020 magazine.

Off his 1,113 rushing yards last season despite Arkansas’ 2-10 overall and 0-8 SEC records, senior running back Rakeem Boyd was named SEC Preseason second-team by the Steele publication.

Sophomore receiver-punt returner Treylon Burks of Warren (29 catches for 475 yards)  was named third-team All-SEC while  senior center Ty Clary of Fayetteville, junior linebacker Bumper Pool (94 tackles) , senior kick returner De’Vion Warren and senior long snapper Jordan Silver were named to Steele’s fourth Preseason SEC team.

Boyd, Clary and Pool started all 12 Arkansas games in 2019.

Burks missed one because of injury and started nine.

 Silver snapped for punts and place-kicks. Warren played nine games returning kickoffs and playing wide receiver.
