Henderson State University Theatre will present four performances of Remember: Breathe, an original piece written in collaboration by The Actor’s Theatre of Little Rock and Henderson’s Innovative Media program.
Remember: Breathe will take audience members on a journey into different aspects of humans' relationship with nature through performances accompanied by the use of augmented reality.
The show is specific to the Arkansas Hall space and was completely conceptualized, written, and designed by director Shelby-Allison Hibbs and a cast and crew of Henderson students. Audience members will travel through the space in groups, using their phones to view the augmented reality in spaces they go through.
Performances are Sept. 29, Sept. 30, Oct. 1, and Oct. 2 at 7:00 p.m. in Arkansas Hall.
The cast includes Sophie Burke of DeQueen; Zandora Chinwah of Hot Springs; Camden Dalie Keech of Conway; Natalie Gray of Hot Springs; Bryce Nunn of Hot Springs; Taylor Mason of Flagstaff, Arizona; Sarah Miller of Malvern; and Shelby-Allison Hibbs of Little Rock. :
The play itself is under Hibbs’ direction. Technology/augmented reality direction is by Scott McKinnon. Student designers include Kylee Hancock, scenic design; Chelsie Spain, lighting design; Camden Dalie Keech, sound design; Zandora Chinwah, costumes and makeup; Sydney Bowman, Trace Dixon, Jaxon Jones, Marston Murdock, technology design.
Tickets are on sale now at hsu.edu/online ticketing. The HSU Theatre Box Office in Arkansas Hall is open for in-person ticket sales from 1:00-4:00 p.m. All seats are reserved.
Admission is $10, or free with a Henderson student or faculty ID.Â
