Bags with candles were placed along the sidewalk spanning from the HPS Administration Office to The HUB. All 260 bags read the name of the person the luminary was purchased for. 

The event lasted about an hour as many locals came to see the Luminaria display and honor their loved ones who have battled cancer. 

The Hempstead County Relay for Life Committee was proud to host this event in hopes of spreading awareness for people living with cancer.
