This morning the Hourglass Aesthetics Medical Spa on 1100 South Main Street in Hope held its ribbon cutting and open house.
Dozens of attendees enjoyed morning snacks and walked among the many rooms, talking to staff members about the particular services offered. Among these are Botox and filler HydraFacials, CoolSculpting, KYBELLA (treatments for fat deposits under the chin), skin-tightening procedures and Yoga classes.
The Spa also furnished a sumptuous table of items catered by Pata Cakes of Nashville, Arkansas. Among these were Fajita Chicken Sliders, Turkey Cheese Sliders, a Pineapple Habanero Dried Cranberry Cheese Ball, Spicy Mango Meatballs, Bacon Ranch Tomato Basil Pinwheels. Wendy Haddan, of PataCakes, said the food took her and her business partner two hours to prepare and one hour to set on display.
During the event, demonstrations of a facial scanning technology that assesses skin damage (so that decisions can be made about possible treatments) took place, with several folks sharing printouts of their results (or keeping them secret). In the Cool Sculpting room, one staffer demonstrated the process on volunteer Tommy Poole who reported that all he felt was a slight bit of suction and a cooling sensation in the area being targeted.
From 11:00 a.m. on, the Spa’s head physician Allyson Hanson announced door prizes by drawing and reading the names of winners while streaming live to the Spa’s facebook page. She and Spa business manager, Jodie Poole, released a statement following the event:
“This is a day we have been working toward for quite some time now. We are completely blown away by what an amazing turnout we’ve had today. We’re looking forward to offering comprehensive wellness care and state of the art aesthetics treatments to the community. We hope everyone who has attended today knows how thankful we are for their support.”
