Righteous Oaks School of Ministry hosted the Hempstead County Chamber Community Coffee this morning at their establishment in Perrytown. They served sealed dishes with two different types of sandwiches, cookies, grapes and cheese along with donuts, coffee and water for refreshments.
The school has just completed their first year of educating grades K5-9 and focuses on teaching children academically and spiritually so they can grow in the Lord as they continue in their studies. The entire building has been remodeled to fit classrooms, a cafeteria and even a prayer room, where the prayer mothers gather to pray over the children.
Pastor Nathaniel Crane said, "We want to make our school as affordable as possible while maintaining an atmosphere of peace and joy, where the kids are inspired and ready to learn. We have smaller class sizes so we can give them the individualized attention that they need. We want academic excellence but at the same time we want an encounter with Jesus."
Wrapping up the coffee, the students gathered in the worship room and belted out two beautiful songs as the crowd smiled and clapped along. Directly after, all who were present sang happy birthday to Judge Jerry Crane, who said, "Today I am 27." with a chuckle.
The school is excited about their second year and is accepting enrollment applications now. To get your registration packet, contact the school at 870-777-2972 or visit their website here
