CAPTION: Pictured are the smiling faces of the ROC Special Olympians during their recent weekend at the Arkansas State Special Olympics held at Harding University in Searcy. While the weather tried to make a mess of the weekend, the athletes and organizers were able to navigate the storms to make for a memorable weekend. After the special Opening Ceremony, the competition was fierce throughout the day. ROC athletes made a good showing and earned 12 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 5 bronze medals making for smiles all round for our 15 athletes. We at ROC cannot be more excited and happy with our olympians and also to thank the staff members who attended to make sure the event was safe and fun for everyone.
