ROC SUPPORTS AREA SCHOOL CHILDREN AT SPECIAL OLYMPICS BOWLING COMPETITION
Hope, AR. – There were bright smiles all around combined with the familiar sounds of bowling balls and pins colliding at the recent Special Olympics Area 11 bowling competition.  The three-day event was held for area school-age children and champion adult bowlers at Holiday Bowl in Texarkana.  On the first day, featured were school-age competitors from the area such as De Queen, Ashdown, Foreman, Nashville, and Texarkana.  The area’s own Spring Hill school brought a team and turned up the heat with some outstanding bowling skills.  Next up were Champion Adult Bowlers where the ROC Lucky Strikes team took to the lanes, bringing a team of 38 bowlers who competed in a variety of divisions. The ROC bowlers took home numerous medals and awards for their efforts. Many schools, including ROC and Spring Hill, will compete next on December 3 & 4 in the State Games held at the Professor Bowl in Little Rock. There will be approximately 25 area bowlers in action. Rainbow of Challenges in Hope is always proud to support not only our own but all area students who practice and compete in any Special Olympics events.  Special thanks to Dorene Mosier for assisting with the event and to Larry Himes, General Manager at Holiday Bowl in Texarkana.  Rainbow of Challenges, Inc.
