Says, ‘This funding will ensure that our dedicated men and women in blue are properly trained to respond to any situation’

LITTLE ROCK -- Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge today announced funding to benefit state and local law enforcement. Rutledge announced an allocation of $5 million to be directed to the Arkansas State Police to continue to expand the 200-acre Precision Driving Training Complex on the grounds of Camp Joe T. Robinson Army Base. The complex will be used for statewide law enforcement and local agencies to attend trainings and gain valuable, hands-on experience in order to prepare for situations they may encounter in the field.

“Arkansas’s law enforcement family are some of the most dedicated public servants,” said Attorney General Leslie Rutledge. “This funding will ensure that our dedicated men and women in blue are properly trained to respond to any situation and are best prepared to address any challenges they may face.”

Rutledge’s announcement was made public at today’s dedication ceremony for the complex. The construction of the complex was first announced in 2018. At that time, Arkansas was one of three states that lacked a similar facility.

As Arkansas’s Chief Legal Officer, Rutledge has continued to invest and promote the work of our first responders and law enforcement officials. In addition to hosting numerous trainings across the state, With this allocation Rutledge has allocated over $27 million to various law enforcement projects that yield statewide benefits and build safer and stronger communities.
