Says, ‘clerking for the Attorney General’s Office offers unique and valuable public service experience’

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge welcomed a new class of law clerks for the summer I session to the Attorney General’s Office. These law students work in various departments assisting with legal research, drafting memos and legal documents and accompanying lawyers at trials, client meetings and hearings.

“Our law clerk program is a wonderful opportunity for my office to contribute in the training of the next generation of attorneys and leaders who will serve the needs of Arkansans,” said Attorney General Rutledge. “I believe that clerking for the Attorney General’s Office offers aspiring attorneys a chance to gain unique and valuable public service experience and to work with some of the best lawyers and public servants in the State.“

Madison Beck, a second-year student at the University of Arkansas School of Law – Fayetteville, is clerking in the Public Protection Department. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 2020 with a degree in marketing. Beck is from Center Ridge and a graduate of St. Joseph High School in 2017.

Fuller Chandler, a second-year student at the University of Arkansas School of Law – Fayetteville, is clerking in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. He is a graduate of Arkansas State University - Jonesboro in 2020 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies. Chandler is from Springdale and graduated from Har-Ber High School in 2016.

Jacob DuBose, a second-year student at the University of Arkansas School of Law – Fayetteville, is clerking in the Civil Department. He is a graduate of the University of Texas - Austin in 2019 with a degree in government. DuBose is from Richardson, Texas and graduated from Richardson High School in Texas in 2015.

Rose McGarrity, a second-year student at the University of Arkansas School of Law – Fayetteville, is clerking in the Criminal Department. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2020 with a degree in journalism and Schedler Honors College interdisciplinary studies minor. McGarrity is from Conway and a graduate of Conway High School in 2016.

Kate Rideout, is a second-year student at the University of Arkansas School of Law – Fayetteville, is clerking in the Public Protection Department. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 2020 with a degree in political science and a legal studies minor. Rideout is from Little Rock and a graduate of Central High School in 2016.
