Hope- It was the season opener for the GMCS Saints Basketball team and they drew a tough opponent in Stephens Christian as they dropped a tough one 72-35. Hooks Brown led the way in the points category with 24. Brown also added 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and added a block. Jason Stockton added 6 points with 2 assists and 1 rebound. Ben Martin had 3 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Levi Burns had 2 points, 2 assists, and 1 board. Brandy Edwards led the team in assists with 4, and Jacob West and Kason Flowers each had an assist. Flowers also grabbed 3 rebounds. Will Lauterbach added a steal on the defensive end of the floor and grabbed 1 rebound.
GMCS is back in action on Monday when they travel to CMA.
