Starting May 15 and ending on August 30, 2024 Sanctuary Glass Studio will offer a special immersive educational art experience at its studio at 421 Lake Street in Shreveport.
Children can be dropped off at the studio at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and will stay until 1 p.m. It is recommended that parents pack a lunch for the child. Parents are also welcomed to stay and observe.
The program will include educational videos and talks regarding utilizing glass as a way to create art. Children will also work in the hot shop with our glass artists creating their own glass artwork. Part of the program includes a tour of the art market next door at Agora Borealis which represents over 300 local and regional artists.
