DR 24-08:​ TO DECLARE DISASTER AREAS FROM SEVERE STORMS AND FLOODING ON JULY 17, 2024 

WHEREAS:​ On July 17, 2024, severe storms and flooding occurred in Arkansas and caused dangers, hardships, and suffering throughout the state, which in turn, warrant this executive action;

WHEREAS:​ Adverse circumstances have been brought to bear upon citizens and public properties within the State of Arkansas; and

WHEREAS:​ These political subdivisions require supplemental assistance from the state to recover from these losses.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS, acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas, and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §§ 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby declare Marion and Searcy Counties as disaster areas.
