Scouts Hold Annual Memorial Day Tradition To Honor The Fallen

Scout Troop 5 held their annual Memorial Day activity of placing American Flags on the graves of US Veterans at Rose Hill and Memory Gardens cemeteries. The American Flags are purchased by the Hope Lions Club, the Kiwanis Club of Hope and Hope's Rotary Club. Scout Leaders Ed Flagg, Les Patterson and Keenan Williams coordinate buying the flags. Scoutmaster Karen Smith organizes the Scouts, parents and family members and provides pastries and drinks for the volunteers.

Troop 5 is sponsored by the Century Bible class at Hope's First United Methodist Church.
