The day began at 10:00 a.m. with a tutorial by Mike Dyer, Klipsch Ambassador who spoke about the evolution of the design of the first Klipsch speakers up to the present day.
Then the day proceeded with tours led by Klipsch Museum Curator Jim Hunter by van of various sites around Hope associated with Paul W. Klipsch and the company he founded. Stops were made at the site of the Southwest Proving Grounds, where Klipsch worked as an acoustic engineer during the development of munitions in the World War II era as well as the Klipsch Heritage Museum and other places.
In the evening, the Hope Lions Club served up its patented Fish Fry meals with chicken fingers, fries and coleslaw at the Visitor Center. Starting about 6:00 p.m., the band Hazy Jayne, led by guitarist and Klipsch Lab pro Lee Brooks played classic rock hits from the front porch.
This year's Klipsch Birthday bash drew aficionados, current Klipsch employees and their families from as far away as Michigan.
