Early Saturday morning the Hope Fire Department was dispatched to the West Bound I-30 on ramp off North Hazel Street in reference to a vehicle fire. Upon arrival they observed that traffic was backed up due to a separate accident further down on I-30 West.

Once responders arrived to the on ramp they then observed an eighteen-wheeler with it’s tractor trailer rear tandem axles afire. HFD responders applied water for an extended amount time while they extinguished the fire.

M & M wrecker service was requested to tow the truck from the scene. The Hope Police Department was on scene for traffic control.
