Short Prescott City Council meeting includes presentation of Chamber of Commerce's annual report
The Prescott City Council meeting tonight was one of the shortest of the year, featuring only a report from Prescott-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jamie Hillery, who presented copies of the chamber’s annual report and a report on this month’s chamber activity.

“It's just a summary of everything that the Chamber's done for the community throughout the entire [fiscal] year,” Hillery said. “It highlights all the boards that we serve on, our board, all the activities planned.”

She added that she had also provided the city council members with a report on this month, which includes the upcoming county fair, which will kick off with a parade. She encouraged all to participate, whether through building floats or simply attending.

In other business the council approved last month’s meeting minutes and the financial report submitted by Mayor Terry Oliver.

The meeting adjourned five minutes after it had begun.
