Arkansas came into the match riding a six-match win streak, and a nine-match win streak against Auburn which dated back to 2016.
First Half
An early third-minute foul by senior Kiley Dulaney gave the Tigers a dangerous free kick from outside the penalty box. Auburn midfielder Anna Haddock’s kick slipped between the wall of defenders past starting goalkeeper Phoebe Carver to take the early lead.
The Hogs were held to two shots in the first half and had a stretch of 44 shotless minutes between the two halves.
Second Half
Junior goalkeeper Sierra Cota-Yarde started the second half, her first appearance since returning from Portuguese National Team duties in September.
Arkansas leveled the match eight minutes out of the break with senior Ava Tankersley’s third goal in as many matches. Anna Podojil crossed a ball in that was headed twice by Morgan White before Tankersley shot across the ground with her left foot. She now ranks third on the team with four goals this season.
The Tigers retook the lead in the 60th minute with a right-footed banger from midfielder Sydnie Thibodaux.
Auburn finished the match ahead in shots, 10-12.
