It's hot, but the Hope Farmers' Market is still going strong! Today's Market had plenty of fresh produce, baked goods, and homemade wares for interested patrons. Heirloom Farms, Salinas Farms, Carolyn's Kitchen, Bright Family Farms, and Aunt Fern had their usual goodies, plus Marilyn's Plants and Young Sprouts had a wide variety of freshly-picked flowers in ready-to-go arrangements. David Langston brought his jellies and jams, and Farm Raised Beef was on the scene with their fresh beef. Three Little E's Farm was back this week with their watermelons and just in time for the festival.

Today's Hospitality Table was hosted by the South Arkansas Migrant Education Center. Diana Sanchez, Migrant Recruiter, shared with SWARK.Today her excitement at joining the Hope Farmers' Market this morning. She said, "We are honored and happy to come here today and meet other people in the community. We also hope to make contact with the local farmers to see if they have any migrant workers who might need anything." The Hospitality table was laid out with healthy snacks and plenty of info about the Migrant Center for interested shoppers.

The end of the season is drawing near, so anyone interested in fresh, locally-grown produce needs to be at the Hub on Tuesday mornings between 7am and 11am for the Hope Farmers' Market. Baked goods and homemade products are also available each week. Or, if one just fancies a cup of coffee and a nice chat with other members of the community, head to the Hub on a Tuesday morning, because that is never out of season and always available!
