Southwest Arkansas Arts Council hosts at Hope Farmers' Market
The Southwest Arkansas Arts Council (SWAAC) joined the Hope Farmers’ Market this morning to host the Hospitality Table and provide sweet treats and refreshments to market patrons. SWAAC Executive Director Jennifer Block said she and fellow council members were thrilled to be at the market today. “We are excited to be here to support our local farmers and vendors who provide an essential service to our community,” Block said. “Plus, we enjoy getting to meet more people in the community and share the SWAAC mission of enriching our community by experience, expression, and education in all the Arts.” Block also said she and SWAAC representatives were recruiting new members for the Arts Council and they shared information regarding the council’s many activities like Kids College, Star Academy, art exhibits, and much more. She said anyone interested in becoming a member could visit the SWAAC website for further info.  Also in attendance at the market today were Field’s Farm, Solomon Farms, and Arnold’s Farm, providing fresh, locally-grown produce in addition to canned goods and other homemade wares. Farm on the Hill was there with beef products and fresh-cut flower arrangements, Papa’s Honey had pollen and honey products, and Back 2 Nature had all-natural personal care products.  The Hope Farmers’ Market takes place on Tuesday mornings at the Hub from 7am to 11am. With the growing season winding down, there aren't many more markets for this year, so anyone interested in checking out the Hope Farmers’ Market be sure to catch the event next Tuesday in case it becomes the last of the season.
