Southwest District Livestock Show Parade courses through downtown

The parade of the 80th Annual Southwest District Livestock Show moved through Hope’s downtown Tuesday evening, clocking in at nearly 50 minutes of floats, shiny new vehicles, queens and contestants, football players, fire trucks, candidates for office and horseback riders. 

Judges had a difficult choice but here are the winners in the three categories of the parade contest. 

Best Queen Float Winners 

First place: Junior Miss Hempstead County AnnaBell Roush 

Second place: Little Miss Howard County Dixie Pinegar 

Third place:  Little Miss Miller County Whitley Cox

 

Best Junior Float Winners 

First place: Hope 5th/6th Grade Cheerleaders 

Second place: Garrett Memorial School 

Third place: Hope Little League Football 

 

Open Category 

First place: Smiles of Arkansas 

Second place: Hope Lions’ Big Red 

Third place: Making Rainbows 

Best Overall Float

Spring Hill Pee Wee Cheerleaders

 

Tonight at the Southwest District Livestock Show includes a beauty pageant and talent show at 7:30 p.m. at the Fair Park Coliseum and the first night of rides. See the district’s website for more information.
