ARKADELPHIA - Henderson State University Theatre will present a one-night-only, special benefit performance of A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Arkansas Hall Studio Theatre.
The production stars Dr. Claudia Beach, retired director of theatre at Henderson, and Dr. Marc Miller, dean of Henderson’s School of Business. A reception will follow the performance.
Love Letters features childhood friends who begin a lifelong correspondence with birthday party thank-you notes and summer camp postcards. They continue to exchange letters through the boarding school and college years, war, marriages, careers, and children.Â
The play is under the direction of William Henshaw. Student designers include Kylee Hancock, lighting, and Camden Dalie Keech, sound. The stage manager is Elizabeth Reaves.
