Spring Hill Bass Fishing Team Hooks Big Bass
Chad Morris

Despite horrible weather and pandemic scares, the Spring Hill Bass Fishing Team competed in 2 high school bass fishing tournaments this weekend. Our anglers showed up this weekend and I mean they showed up big! Saturday, our anglers competed in the AYFTT High School Bass Fishing Tournament on Lake Ouachita. Every angler on our team weighed in fish at this tournament. When the smoke cleared, the duo of Eli Pierce and Cade Watson walked away with a first place win and an award for Big Bass. On Sunday, a few of our teams competed in the Trader Bill’s High School Bass Fishing Tournament on Lake DeGray. The team of Ryan Whatley and Raney Foster broke into the top 10 with a ninth place finish. The team of Austin Stone and Lane Dillard ended up taking fourth. Congratulations to these anglers and a big shout out to all of our anglers for fishing through the rough weather conditions. We are so proud of all of our anglers and the dedication they show to this team. We are also very thankful to our boat captains for keeping our young men safe. We know that despite being hooked in the back of the head and taking an unexpected plunge in the lake, your first priority is the safety of our anglers.
