Spring Hill Bears Golf Team Drives it Home
The Spring Hill Bear's Golf Team had an outstanding day yesterday at the El Dorado Lion's Club competing in the district championship.

Colin Purifoy, a Junior at Spring Hill, shot 80, bringing home the coveted trophy for the 2-A 6 Conference Tournament Medalist.

The Spring Hill Girl's golf team walked away with the first runner up title for the 2-A 6 conference and will advance to battle in the state championship at Horseshoe Bend Golf Course sponsored by Salem Highschool in Turkey Mountain on September 28, 2020. Members of the girl's team are Jordan Murphy, Ava Purifoy, Darci Durham and Averie Powell.

The Spring Hill boy's golf team seized the district championship title for the 2-A 6 conference and will forge ahead to the state championship at the Conway Country Club in Conway, AR on October 6, 2020. Members of the boys team are Colin Purifoy, Chris Hernandez, Reed Rothwell, Ryan Whatley, Charlie Ford and Austin Stone.

"I am majorly proud of this team. The amount of work they put in is crazy, they stay out there practicing past dark. A lot of them will go out on the weekends and play in other tournaments and I've had some help with people in the community as well, donating equipment, their time, and helping these young golfers out. We have so much support from the parents, contributing and doing what they can. They are wonderful kids with great attitudes on and off the course," Coach Roy Whatley said proudly.
