The Bears defense picked up and the offense followed. Spring Hill would score 21 points in the second quarter to cut into the lead. Then they would fight and claw all second half, including a 20-6 run in the third quarter. The Bears would find themselves in a tie game with just a handful of seconds remaining. That's when Senior Andrew Wylie made the above-mentioned tough layup with three seconds left in the game.
Coach Austin Kidd was extremely proud of his team, as they dug themselves out of a 24-2 hole to come back and secure the win. Austin Stone would pace the Bears offense with 16 points. Grant Hudman scored 13, Andrew Wylie would add 11, and Levin McGuire, fresh out of football, continues to get into basketball shape, scoring 10 points. Four Bears found themselves in double-figures in a well-balanced attack. Jakob Perry would add 7 points.
Spring Hill is back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Murfreesboro for a huge conference matchup with the Rattlers.
