Fordyce-Â Â The Bears saw their season come to an end Wednesday night in Fordyce at the South Regional tournament, their first regional birth in years. The Bears came out swinging early on grabbing a 15-14 lead after the first quarter, as Levin McGuire torched the nets for 3 three-pointers in the opening quarter. The Redbugs then outscored the Bears in the second quarter to take a 30-24 lead going into the half. Both teams scored 12 points each in the third quarter, making the game 42-36 Redbugs heading into the final quarter. Spring Hill fought hard the entire game, but as the time started working more and more against them, it turned into a foul game leading to multiple late free throws for Fordyce. The final score was 63-48, as the Bears ended their season. Levin McGuire led the Bears with 17 points and Maverick Mills scored 10 points. Grant Hudman chipped in 7 points and Andrew Wylie had 6. The Spring Hill faithful and Coach Hamilton have a lot to look forward to with this young group of guys, many of which will be back next year.
