Baskets were really tough to find for the Bears late in the game, as they would only manage 11 points in the final eight minutes of the game. A lot of first game jitters were apparent for the Bears as shots were not falling. They only shot 28 percent from the floor Monday. 

The team defense was good, and the effort was there all game. Maverick Mills and Austin Stone led the Bears offensively with 15 points each. Mills added 6 boards. The Bears were back in action on Tuesday as they traveled to Jessieville.
