The Bears are going to try and pick up where they left off last week, as they played a very strong 2nd half, as they pulled away from Genoa Central en-route to a 28 point victory. The line of scrimmage was won last week by the Bears and that will be a deciding factor in the game this week. Look for returning starters Riley Crews, Aaryn Bradford, Joe Phillips to have a big impact on the game in the trenches, along with Caleb Clayton and Madox Dickson.
QB Jaxon Smith played a great game last week, as he managed the game extremely well, on top of connecting for TDs with Karson Hamilton and Alex Arriaga. Look for Smith to have another good showing on Friday night. Other players to keep an eye on are Gavin Smith, Alex Arriaga, Tucker Vickers, Karson Hamilton, and Mason Moore, as four of those five players found the endzone last week.
This is a very intriguing matchup for both teams, as both are ready to make a statement early on in the season. Look for the Bears to come out ready to go on Friday night and hit the Lions in the mouth early on. Coach Smith preaches hard-nosed football and that is what this team of Bears like to display on Friday nights when the lights come on.
Kickoff is set for 7PM at Spring Hill.
