The team consisted of a total of 13 athletes, eight of which were just freshman, and this was the first state championship meet for all 13 Spring Hill boys to compete in.
"I was thrilled with our performance," Coach Greg Smith said. "This showed that we have a huge future ahead of us."
Spring Hill had a total of five personal records (PRs) at the state meet. Colin Purifoy got a PR in the 400 meter dash were he placed 9th with a time of 57.79 and both Griffen Chandler and Josh Gimmett got PRs in the two mile where they placed 8th and 10th with times of 12:32.90 and 12:40.24, respectively. The other two PRs from the team came from their relays.
