Spring Hill- Spring Hill’s very own Erin McMaster has decided to continue her academic and softball career at Southern Arkansas University located in Magnolia, Arkansas. Erin signed her letter of intent in the library at Spring Hill High School Tuesday afternoon at 1:00, the library was filled with family, friends, teammates, and fellow classmates as everyone was very excited to see Erin continue her journey on the softball field and the classroom. Coach Jerry McMaster (Erin’s Dad) was very excited about her decision to continue her playing career at SAU. Coach McMaster told me he has been Erin’s coach her entire playing career thus far, from t-ball, to travel ball, to now coaching her in High School and that he will enjoy these next 4 years of watching and cheering Erin on from the other side of the fence. Coach Reyn Brown gave a great speech at Erin’s signing Tuesday, speaking not only on Erin’s abilities on the field which are extraordinary, but how great of a person Erin is. Coach Brown marveled at Erin’s leadership qualities, how she carries herself on and off the field, and how great of a teammate/classmate Erin is to her peers. Southern Arkansas University and their softball program are truly gaining an admirable, graceful, and hard-working person. On the field Erin has many great attributes that include not only her pitching and hitting skills, but her softball IQ on the field and her mental toughness is beyond impressive. From the people here at SWARK, Congratulations on being able to continue your softball career at SAU, they are lucky to have you join their program.
